Whether the "Stadtfest" (City Fest), the "Matjesfest"
(Herring Fest), the "Weinfest" (Wine Fest) or the "Weihnachtsmarkt" (Christmas Market). The DMG orchestrates always appealing fests and markets on the "City Centre Stage" that encourage visitors to experience the city centre in a relaxing atmosphere.

The "Weihnachtsmarkt" (Christmas Market), one of the biggest in the Lower Rhine region, bring more than 1.5 million visitors annually into the city and attunes itself to the contemplative Christmas time with its cultural accompanying programme. We are in charge of the largest amusement fair on the Lower Rhine, the Beecker fair, and the "Niederrhein in Flammen" (Lower Rhine in Flames), as well as the flea markets. As partners, we assist organisers of big sporting events such as the City Bicycle Race or the Duisburg Bicycle Tour.
