Fairs and Markets

Duisburg’s lovely new centre is attracting more and more people to the city. The town planner’s vision - shopping, living and working in a loveable and liveable environment - has been realised and led to more and more people choosing to stay longer and longer in the city. It’s just as well, therefore, that Duisburg Marketing Gesellschaft in cooperation with City Management have for many years been developing a well tried and tested vision to reinvigorate the inner city. From the ‘Kunsthandwerkerfestival’ (Craft Fair) in spring to the Christmas Market in winter, now attracting more than 2 million visitors each year, fairs and markets are held in the city well nigh all through the year, with something to offer visitors to the city almost every weekend.

Our events management team is also a regular and very accomplished advisor to and organiser of special projects – from events open to the public, for example, to opening ceremonies such as the Rhine Park, to the carrying out of the state competition ‘Ab in die Mitte’.
