We Set Accents

Duisburg boasts a dazzling setting for staging festivals with international pulling power. Every year the ‘Duisburger Akzente’ (Accents), the ‘Kinderkulturtage’ (Children’s Culture Days), the ‘Traumzeitfestival’ (Dreamtime) and the ‘Duisburger Tanztage’ (Dance Days) attract thousands of visitors to our city.
In addition to these first-class festivals, there are also numerous fairs organised by Duisburg Marketing Gesellschaft, and the range of festivities, from the Herring Fest to the Wine Fest and Christmas Market, covers the whole year. The ‘City of Cultural Experiences’ radiates an atmosphere rich in diversity.

Alongside these top-class festivals are also a manifold of fests, also organised by the Duisburg Marketing Corporation: the "Matjesfest" (Herring Fest) and the "Stadtfest" (City Festival), the "Weinfest" (Wine Fest) and the "Weihnachtsmarkt" (Christmas Market). Such events orient themselves around various cultural atmospheres with varying cultural customs. The cultural and city fests are, in a sense, local promotion. The "city of cultural sensation" bubble with variety and flair.
