KinderKulturFestival
(Children's Cultural Festival)
Since 1998 the festival has been arousing children’s interest in theatre, music, dance and the visual arts and at the same time spurring them on to become creatively active themselves. Artists from the whole of Germany and often international projects too perform at locations such as the inner harbour or the Kantpark. The other mainstay of the ‘KinderKulturFestival’ is a comprehensive provision of creative workshops, on theatre, music, instrument making and radio drama, for example.
Cooperating partners of the ‘KinderKulturFestival’ are, amongst others, the Lower Rhine School of Music and Art, the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum, the Municipal Library and the Culture and City Historical Museum.
