In June each year thousands of enthusiasts take part in the Great Duisburg Bike Ride. Each year a new route for this popular day’s ride is chosen, taking riders to the adjoining towns and cities. There is a rest station with the chance to get refreshments and enjoy a small musical programme. A large Bike Festival takes place at the same time on the Königsstrasse, where the riders in the Great Bike Ride are enthusiastically welcomed back in the evening.
