Rendezvous for wine-growers from throughout Germany

Duisburg has been inviting people to the inner city for the Wine Fest since 1986, always at the end of July/beginning of August. What began very small – at the start only 8 wine-growers dared make their way to the beer city of Duisburg – has now blossomed into one of the most important and attractive events dedicated to ‘German Wine’ in Germany.
Wine-growers from well nigh every wine-growing area in Germany are represented and showcase their classy whites, full-bodied reds and lively sparkling wines to an ever growing band of admirers. In a subdued, relaxed atmosphere you can taste, talk shop or simply enjoy a drink, complemented by a tarte flambée, pretzel, cheese, sausage or other snack.
