Wasserwelt Wedau (Wedau Water World)

Whereas before it was the regatta course which attracted the elite of the world’s rowers and canoeists, with the construction of a parallel canal not only has more space been created for regattas, but also a varied leisure provision can now be accommodated here. For those in search of relaxation and those wanting an activity holiday, the canal will be a genuine experience and offer wonderful opportunities for leisure activities.

From Water Activity Playground to the All-Purpose Course to the High Rope Course– a 1,200 m long activity canal has been built, making for an immense leisure area. Whether it’s rowing, canoeing or dragon boating, water sport pursued as a hobby or professionally finds an attractive anchorage here.

But water is an attraction not only for athletes. At the Water Activity Playground children can devote themselves to this element to their heart’s content. Natural spaces such as a stream or a village surrounded by pastures, but also a pirates’ ship, climbing net and even a raft will make the children into little seafarers, explorers and pirates. Here children can paddle and play to their heart’s content.

Those who shy away from the water or just don’t like getting wet will perhaps find their discipline in keeping their feet firmly on the ground. On the All-Purpose Course you can train your feelings, body or intellect. On the Path of the Senses you walk bare foot and get a free reflexology foot massage. The Path of Movement addresses for the visitor three richly varied areas such as mobility, wellness and fitness. The Path of Knowledge reveals interesting and fascinating things from the world of nature to the attentive walker.

Those who enjoy the challenge of overcoming gravity will especially love romping around in the High Rope Course. There are five different courses up to 15 m in height with 110 platforms where it’s all about showing your talent – and, it goes without saying, all perfectly safe – and in addition there is huge fun to be had having on a go on the aerial runway, more than 250 m long.
